ILSE was born in 1973 as Stephan Ilse in Hamburg / Germany. After he finished school he made his alternative service and was massively infected with the psychedelic virus back in '91. He realized to work in a regular job as a commercial assistant, which is his regular profession, would not make him happy, and started to visit parties and festivals more frequently until he decided to play on smaller events spreading his idea of psytrance ...  In Germany there are big scenes in almost every genre, so it was easy for him to find his place, even though the area he lives in is dominated by the progressive community. In 2004 he founded Noise Poison Records with Highko and Iguana to create a base for the extraordinaries in the music scene. Beside he was working a few years as freelancer at a german magazine writing reviews for cd releases as well es artist-specials and features to famous events happening around and abroad. Further he founded a netradio with a few friends presenting the latest music in almost every electronic genre but went into the more administrative responsibilities after he became father in 2006.
 His sets are usually dedicated to the nighttime acidcrowd and so he played already with many famous acts and for example had the pleasure to play at Boom Festival in Portugal in 2006. In early 2007 he became an official team member of Parvati Records / Denmark, where he feels homey since ... Always following the most trippy aspect of psytrance, he likes a lot of diverse styles as long it’s intelligent and versed made ... This can be heard in his sets, so deep groovy morningtunes are possible as well, as long the trip factor dominates! to be continued ....
