Antaro (Wolfgang Matthias Ahrens) is one of the few DJs who are aktiv since the very begining of electronic dance music. He was born in October 1953 in Germany. Currently Antaro is living in Bangkok / Thailand. He plays Psytrance under the name DJ Antaro and Techno under the name EQ San.  LifeAntaro instigated the original trance scene with a series of small parties inspired by his experiences in Goa, India. He started the Spirit Zone label in 1994 to provide an outlet for the new psy-trance music, which till today offers works by some of the most innovative, inspired composers. Spirit Zone Recordings was a record label specialised in trance, techno and electronic listening music. In Hamburg / Germany since August 1994, the have released over 150 albums and singles featuring music from all over the world. No doubt, the label has supported the development of a distincitve local and global artist scene. Thus having aided in creating an acclaimed sound enjoyed at parties and in homes all over the world. Antaro also founded the VooV Experience, the legendary european open-air trance festival and the label Plusquam Records.  Contact
