Sunstryk aka Thomas Vitali is a progressive psytrance act from Germany born on 12. March 1980. He discovered goa- and psytrance parties in his area in the year 2000, when he was 20 years old, and was instantly infected by its unique sounds and experiences. During the last years he was experimenting a lot with digital and analogue instruments to realize his own interpretation of music within psytrance.

This project won’t really match the associations that instinctively arise together with the keyword German Progressive: Though this label is formally correct, the productions of Munich based Thomas distinguish themselves by a stylistically very confident independency. Being enthusiastic about the early Fullon sound around the turn of the millennium, he discovered the open character and therefore the fascinating possibilities of Progressive Trance over the years.

This finally resulted in intelligently arranged, emotional and very profound productions that represent their very own character each without giving the impression of replicated preset-sounds or even kitsch. This special quality caught on already at a point of time when barley anybody knew a project named Sunstryk: In 2009 the track “No Surface” headed the Psy Trance charts of Beatport.com for continuous 8 weeks. Being the current operator of Plusquam Records, Thomas continues the always flamboyant work of the rich in tradition Progressive forge and his numerous international label contacts steadily deliver fresh creative input.
