The "Trancer's Guide To The Galaxy" was an annual project of mushroom magazine and chaishop.com, printed in Hamburg / Germany and distributed worldwide via mail. mushroom magazine, so far a psychedelic trance guide in German language, started in the beginning of 2002 to publish international editions in English under the name "Intershroom". In 2003 they start to cooperate with chaishop.com and made a new concept for the international edition. The "Trancer's Guide To The Galaxy" was born and the first edition was distributed worldwide in the first month of 2004. The idea of the magazine was, to be an annual trance travel guide and to collect helpful information from different countries all around the globe. In 2005 and 2006 the magazine was coupled with a CD, which also collected music from different countries. Together with 4ideas, a company from Brazil, beginning of 2008 also a special edition in Portuguese language was published, mainly for the scene in South America. End of 2008 mushroom magazine and chaishop.com decided to stop the project due to the difficult economic situation of the trance scene which, in their opinion, makes it difficult to finance the project. The Team, most of the editors, photographers and designer don't agree with that. They have reorganized the project and found a way to make it possible. They also recalculated the prices for adverts and were able to offer them much cheaper than in the past. In their opinion this was the better way to face the difficult economic situation of the trance scene.
