The United Arab Emirates (UAE) (Arabic: دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة‎, Dawlat al-Imārāt al-‘Arabīyah al-Muttaḥidah) is a federation of seven emirates situated in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia on the Persian Gulf, bordering Oman and Saudi Arabia. The UAE consists of seven states, termed emirates, which are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah and Fujairah.

The capital and second largest city of the United Arab Emirates is Abu Dhabi. It is also the country's center of political, industrial and cultural activities. The political system of the United Arab Emirates, based on the 1971 Constitution, comprises several intricately connected governing bodies. Islam is the official religion and Arabic is the official language. The United Arab Emirates has the world's sixth largest oil reserves and possesses one of the most developed economies in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates is a founding member of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and a member state of the Arab League. It is also a member of the United Nations, Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the OPEC, and the World Trade Organization.

[2010] Strong and building up in UAE

Due to the commercial culture of the United Arab Emirates and taking into consideration religious laws governing the country, the government are very strict on Drugs and related substances. The psychedelic scene itself is not very big in the country but is growing at a rapid rate. There are two main Psytrance events organizers and they do their best to promote the scene in Dubai. This however is limited to indoor venues. Event named Ravelations have landed international acts / DJ's to Dubai in the past and continue to do so. Another event named Psynthesis also have landed international acts and cater to both Indoor and outdoor events / parties. The outdoor parties are usually away from the city (Dibba, Umm Al Quain, Hatta Desert and other remote areas).

The scene is strong and is building up with many converting to psytrance. DJ Swaroop G aka. Sanathana has been featured as the only psytrance producer in DJ Mag Middle East and a local magazine, Infusion. The news about psytrance is spreading and Dubai will have a solid psy scene by end of Year 2010.

The biggest indoor psytrance party in Dubai attracted a crowd of 710 people at a venue - CHI, The Lodge for PSYNTHESIS on 14th November,2008

Sanathana is the first psytrance producer to release 3 of his tracks and is also a LIVE Act. Born in India, living in Dubai.

Record Labels

So far, the only label to go major from the UAE is Samana Records (http://www.sgdesigns.co.uk) They have already released their first compilation, UNITY Compiled by Dj Swaroop G - Available in all major online distribution stores.

At least 1 per week (Indoors / Clubs), 1-2 parties outdoors (Private / Invites only)
Indoor club parties start at 9PM and go on till 3AM.
Outdoor parties that are private can last for 12 to 14 hours or more.
The best time to come by is Late Summer / Early Winter / Mid Winter (September/October/November/December/January/February/March)
